Adjustments to the geometry based on numerous Ret∅¼l data points and professional rider input have led us to a performance road geometry, striking the perfect balance of a responsive front end and short wheelbase for maximum power transfer and instantaneous response.
With added tyre clearance up to 30mm, lowered seat stays, a newly designed seatpost and re-shape of the seat tube, this emphasizes the riding comfort without compromising on the Tarmac's iconic race-machine character. These modifications reduce road vibrations, lower rolling resistance, and increase traction and comfort, leading to a smoother, more comfortable ride.
Aerodynamics, the key to speed, hasn't been overlooked. Through a six-month iterative process, we incorporated a new fork shape, aero tubes at the dropped seat stays, and a D-shaped seatpost and seat tube. These enhancements make this bike about 45 seconds quicker over 40km than other lightweight bikes in the same category. This aerodynamic advantage will be apparent during high-speed peloton attacks.
