With the Men's Diverge Sport by Specialized, you'll be ready to tackle any road conditions, from smooth tarmac to rough tracks. This bike is packed with the same advanced technologies as its more expensive counterparts, but the focus here is on reliable performance rather than flashy components.The Diverge is now more capable than ever, and we took your feedback into account when designing the new frame. One of the main improvements is the increased tyre clearance, allowing for tyres up to 700x42mm (or 650b x 47mm) to be fitted, with plenty of room for mud too. Weight was also a key factor in the development, so we used a lightweight FACT 9r carbon frame, inspired by the design of the Roubaix.Instead of a traditional cross geometry, we introduced our Open Road Geometry, which combines the best elements of road and trail bike geometry. This results in playful handling and predictable steering, perfect for dirt skids and mid-corner drifts. The new geometry features a lower bottom bracket, a slacked-out head tube angle, short chainstays, and a short wheelbase. These changes make the Diverge not only enjoyable off-road, but also performant on the road.To enhance your comfort on gravel and dirt roads, we added a new version of our Future Shock. This technology not only absorbs bumps effectively, but also provides excellent handling. Unlike traditional suspension systems, the Diverge's Future Shock keeps the same effective head tube angle when encountering obstacles, preventing under-steer or sloppy handling in turns. The progressive spring in our version of the Future Shock makes it suitable for off-road use, where stiffer suspension is often required.In addition, the Diverge is equipped with three water bottle mounts, as well as mounts for racks and fenders. For the spec, we focused on ensuring crisp shifting and smooth braking for years to come. That's why you'll find a Shimano 105 groupset, hydraulic disc brakes, and a DT R470 Disc wheelset.Note: Please do not include the part number or color of the bike in the description.
